| Fillette Green Travel has enjoyed more than 80 years of success and growth in Pensacola. In September, 2003, Fillette Green Travel formed a partnership with Springdale Travel, a 25 year old agency headquartered in Mobile, Alabama. Fillette Green Travel has been meeting the needs of Pensacola businesses and enjoying lasting relationships with our clients for many years. We intend to continue to provide the same personalized, friendly level of service of a local agency, with the administrative support of a much larger agency, Springdale Travel. |
| Springdale Travel was established in May, 1978 under ownership of Murray E. Cape. Corporate headquarters located at 1087 Downtowner Boulevard consists of two separate service areas, Springdale Travel, and Cruise Quarters. Our organization has evolved into a structure which narrows the focus of responsibility for each employee as closely as possible to an assembly line process, i.e., corporate reservation agents do primarily corporate bookings, vacation or cruise counselors do only leisure sales, and ticket processors only process tickets. The idea is to allow each employee the opportunity to become an expert in his or her area of responsibility. |
| Utilizing this formula, Springdale Travel has become the dominant agency in this region. Of the 20,000 plus travel agencies in the United States, Springdale Travel ranks in the top 200. |
| Springdale Travel was sold in 1996 to Robert Bender and Stephen Cape. The entire management team, including current owners and the previous owner, has continued full time management of Springdale Travel since 1985. In March of 2000, Springdale Travel acquired Azalea Travel, the oldest travel agency in Mobile, with locations in downtown Mobile, West Mobile, and Fairhope. |
