Our Company History

Springdale Travel was established in May, 1978. Corporate headquarters are located at 958 Montlimar Drive in Mobile, AL.

Springdale Travel was sold in 1996 to Robert Bender and a former partner. In March of 2000, Springdale Travel acquired Azalea Travel, the oldest travel agency in Mobile with locations in downtown Mobile, West Mobile, and Fairhope. Four years later, Springdale Travel acquired a majority interest in Fillette Green Travel located in Pensacola, Florida. In November of 2005 Springdale Travel elected to join The American Express Representative Network. In March of 2010, Robert Bender acquired 100% of all outstanding shares in Springdale Travel.

In addition to numerous supplier awards, Springdale Travel has been named winner of the prestigious American Express Travel Representative Excellence Award for the past six years. Only 25 members of the American Express U.S. Representative Travel Network receive the award each year, which recognizes strong performance in sales and customer service. Springdale Travel currently employs 42 people and is incorporated in the State of Alabama. For over 30 years we have maintained our market leadership via long-term relationships with our customers, employees and suppliers coupled with continuing investments in technology.
